Constant exposure to alcohol messages, easy access to alcohol, and the perception that alcohol is harmless and acceptable for youth, contribute to underage drinking.
New laws in Washington limit the number of alcohol ads that retailers can display outside.
The Basics on the New Laws:
Retailers can display no more than 4 ads that are no larger than 1600 sq. inches
Outdoor advertising is prohibited within 500 feet of places of worship, schools, playgrounds, or athletic fields
These rules apply to civic or community events where alcohol is served
